Arsenio Hall’s syndicated late-night talk show has been renewed for a second season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS Television Distribution has renewed The Arsenio Hall Show and former late-night talk show host Jay Leno delivered the news on Wednesday night.
The surprise appearance was Leno’s first since stepping down from his late-night hosting gig.
Leno pulled an envelope from his pocket and read aloud that Hall’s show had in fact been renewed for another year.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that the Coming to America star’s show will continue to air on 17 stations including WPIX, New York, at 11 p.m.; KTLA, Los Angeles, at 11 p.m.; and WGN, Chicago, at 10 p.m.
The 58-year-old’s show debuted last fall. It is a revival of his talk show that ran from 1989 until 1994.
“Since Sept. 9, I’ve been waking up without an alarm clock,” Hall said in a statement. “Producing and hosting my late-night talk show brings me great joy. I’m back where I belong!”
