Ashley Green is scheduled to play Priscilla Presley in a new drama film.
WENN reports that Greene (Twilight) has signed up for the film. Ron Livingston (Boardwalk Empire) has signed up to play Elvis.
According to Deadline, The new film is currently titled Shangra-La Suite, and is directed by Eddie O'Keefe who also co-wrote the script with Chris Hutton.
The story takes place in 1974 and is not a biography of the famous couple. The story instead follows two 20-year-old college students who plot to kill Elvis, who died in 1977.
Ron Yerxa (Little Miss Sunshine), Albert Berger(Election), and Tariq Merhab are producing.
Shooting has already begun in Los Angeles.
Avan Jogia from ABC Family's Twisted is also in talks for a role in the film.
According to Variety, Greene will also star in the Zach Braff's independent film, Wish I Was Here, set to release July 18 in New York and Los Angeles, and again July 25 worldwide.
Greene has recently also completed Burying the Ex and Random.
