Running back Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens was arrested this past weekend after an alleged physical altercation he had with a woman at an Atlantic City casino. Rice’s attorney Andrew Alperstein did confirm the news that Rice was charged and eventually released after what was called a “minor physical altercation” with a woman who has been identified as Rice’s fiancee reports the Baltimore Sun.

There have not been any charging documents as of yet and the Baltimore Ravens are well aware of the situation. The Raven’s public relations director Chad Steele said “We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiancee. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained”.

The only thing that is confirmed is that there was an argument that Ray was involved with, but nothing else has been confirmed as of yet according to CBSSports. It is believed that this is a misunderstanding that should be resolved, but it will not happen until all of the evidence is reviewed.

Ray Rice has been an important part of the Ravens offense since being drafted by the team in 2008. He has been to the Pro Bowl three times and rushed for over 6,000 yards and 37 touchdowns. He is also an active member in his community, especially for the anti-bullying campaigns.
