BBC is known for the original dramas and television programming and now the network is putting everyone on display and for sale for the world to see.

BBC Worldwide is holding it's own program showcase, which has become a massive annual event for the network starting on Sunday. This is the 37th annual BBC Worldwide Showcase and this is event is very similar to that of the L.A. Screenings. The showcase takes place in Liverpool, England,The Hollywood Reporter added.

This showcases brings together around 725 attendees who represent media buyers around the world. Shows for sale include, Doctor Who, Sherlock and Luther. Making this the largest TV content sales event in the world.

At this event it was announced that the hit show Luther which stars Idris Elba, will be remade for Russian TV under BBC Worldwide's first-ever deal with Sreda, a Russian production firm.

The Russian remake of Luther will air in 2015, The Mirror reported.

Matt Forde, executive vp, sales and co-productions at BBC Worldwide North America explained the importance of this event and why it has become so successful. "Showcase truly is one of the hallmarks of the international TV sales year. British programming is experiencing a surge in popularity, and Showcase is the perfect opportunity for us to bring international content buyers and commissioners together with some of the brightest talent and creatives the U.K. has to offer," said Forde.
