This week's episode of Being Human was full of new conflicts and developments. It was a great episode which began flushing out unseen elements of the characters' personalities. For example, Josh used his wolf powers to help other wolves. Aidan made a harder stance for his beliefs (compared to his typical ineffectual decision-making). Lastly, my favorite moment was when Zoe told Sally that she impinged in people lives, never for the best, rather always for the worst.
However, those mentioned constituent items were not all that occurred on this week's episode. The episode began with Aidan dreaming of Kat and himself in bed cuddling. She then closed eyes, revealing black eyes, like that of a vampire. Aidan awoke from the dream perturbed, only to find Kenny sitting in his bed trying to rouse him. Kenny explained how the vampire killer struck again and was decimating his ranks. Aidan agreed to help him in resolving the issue of the killer. In addition, Aidan brought Kenny downstairs to reveal his existence to Nora and Josh. Surprisingly Nora was accepting and empathetic toward Kenny. She forgave him and accepted him as a welcomed guest. Josh. however, was outraged. Interestingly though, the lines of Josh and Wolf are becoming more blurred. I will explain this deeper shortly, but it was hard to perfectly assign Josh's response solely to himself, or to the wolf's defensive outbursts. To clarify Josh was upset at Aidan for lying about Kenny's death and for allowing him into their home, but he seemed more manic than usual. He told Kenny he would jog it off, which confused Kenny. But Aidan said to hold out hope for a definitive answer, as that was not a no from Josh.
While Josh was out jogging his keen sense of smell drew him toward a pregnant woman, who was a wolf too. Josh explained he was a wolf, and he and the woman began to connect, discussing her life. Josh offered to have Nora perform an ultrasound to aide her in the supernatural pregnancy. When woman and her husband arrived at the hospital to have the ultrasound done, the husband was overprotective and too excitable. The ultrasound hurt Josh's ears, and when Nora began the procedure on the pregnant woman, it also appeared to upset the creature inside the womb. The pregnant woman cried out in pain, as the creature inside flailed in discomfort. The husband grabbed Nora's hand out of anger to stop her, when Josh immediately, with amazing strength and speed threw him against a wall, revealing his wolf eyes. The man grabbed his wife and left, scared of Josh.
Meanwhile, Kat has been pressuring Aidan to take a vacation with her. She showed up at the house all ready to get out the guidebooks, but Aidan tried to push her out the door in order to go talk to Suzanna. Later, at Kat's place, she confronted him about his past always being… well nonexistent. But he remembers facts about history so clearly but nothing of his own life.
Sally urged Zoe to help her solve the mystery of Lil Smokie. Zoe agreed but after aiding Sally in her quest for answers, refused to help anymore. She explained that she wasn't helping Sally, rather protecting those people from Sally because everything she touches becomes destroyed. Zoe explained she didn't tell Sally about her new girlfriend because she was now a lesbian. Rather she wanted to protect her new lover and herself from Sally's meddling. She told Sally to stop trying to enter people lives and help, because no one asked for her help and it only ends poorly.
Back at the house Josh and Nora were visited by the married couple with child. They rushed in and explained the woman's water broke. Josh and Nora helped them deliver their child, whom was some sort of wolf/human baby, that was changing back and forth. The couple was so thrilled with their new child, even Josh and Nora admitted the beauty of the child.
Aidan meanwhile, confronted Suzanna and she urged him to choose a side. Aidan rushed to Kenny explained to him she was outside muscle hired to kill vampires and revealed her location. He then rushed to Suzanna and warned her that vampires were on their way to kill her and she needed to leave. As he was escorting Suzanna away she told him to give up on trying to have a human life, because it is not real, and he should let Kat go if he truly loves her. Aidan afterwards went to Kat's home and began explaining he was a vampire. She laughed right in his face, and the episode ended. I can't wait for newt week's episode.
