Beyoncé continues to take control of her career. First it was her eye-catching sexy surprise self titled visual album, now she has reportedly fired her general manager Faisal Durrani of Live Nation.
According to Mail Online, Beyoncé, 32, axed Durrani in order to manage her career with husband Jay-Z.
Jay-Z has been instrumental in Beyoncé’s career and even helped manage her high grossing Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, said a source to the Daily Mirror.
Mail Online also reports that a rep of the singer said “Beyoncé has managed herself since 2010 under her company Parkwood Entertainment. Faisal Durrani worked for her as a President for a very short time.”
Beyoncé set up Parkwood Entertainment in 2008.
Durrani isn’t the first manager the songstress has gotten rid of . In 2011, Mrs. Carter fired her father Matthew Knowles, who had managed her career since her Destiny Child days.
TMZ reported that the starlet fired her dad because he stole funds from her. Knowles denied the reports. Beyoncé never publicly stated the reason behind the split.
