Beyonce made a strong musical statement at the BRIT Awards last night, debuting her new song “XO.”
Always dressed to impress, Beyonce wore a blue Vrettos Vrettakos gown, according to the Daily Mail. Beyonce performed, “XO,” the second single from her newest album.
"I'd like to dedicate this song to my incredible fans — I love y'all,” she said, according to the The Hollywood Reporter. This was the first time Beyonce has sung the new song on TV. It was a bold performance, with neon lights beaming in the background.
Beyonce’s albums have often been a hit with fans and critics alike. Her latest effort, Beyonce, was released in December, 2013. Beyonce’s new song, “Drunk in Love” is holding steady in the Top Ten on the Top 100 Chart. The song features her husband, rapper Jay-Z.
Beyonce, 32, was not the only performer who graced the stage at the English equivalent of the Grammy Awards. Other artists performing in the ceremony included Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Arctic Monkeys. The 2014 BRIT Awards were held at the London’s 02 Arena on Feb. 19.
