Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy are set to star in the upcoming Skylight. Skylight will be a new telling of the David Hare's 1995 play.

The upcoming project will be helmed by Stephen Daldry, Variety reported.

Matthew Beard has also signed on to join Nighy and Mulligan in the production, Deadline added.

Nighy is no stranger to working on the stage, he has been seen in the 1997 production of Skylight, along with roles in the stage production of Pravda and Map of the World.

Skylight tells the story of a schoolteacher, which will be played by Mulligan, who receives a visit from her former love, (Nighy) and his son.

This project was first seen on the stage in Gotham in 1996 and was released as a limited Broadway run.

This new re-telling of the story will be produced by Robert Fox Limited, and will run through June 6th to Aug. 23 at the Wyndham’s Theater. The original production also took place at the Wyndham Theater.
