Cee Lo Green announced on the Ellen DeGeneres that he would not be returning to The Voice at all.
Green spoke about his time on the NBC show and that he would continue his relationship with the network but he would not be coming back to The Voice at all.
"I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But yeah, I'm going to miss The Voice too. So I’m not coming back guys," said Green.
DeGeneres asked for more detail and Green explained that he would not be returning to the show for the next season or any season after that, US Magazine reported.
"I'm not coming back at all. I don't want to wear out my welcome there. You know what I'm saying. I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven't released an album in four years. I'm almost done with my album," said Green.
The "Crazy" singer is currently joining Lionel Richie on his upcoming tour and will be taking time to work on releasing new music, The Hollywood Reporter added.
No word yet on which musician would be replacing Green as a coach on The Voice.
