Comedian George Lopez was arrested for public intoxication in a Canadian casino on Thursday night.

According to TMZ, Lopez passed out on the casino floor of the Caesars Windsor and security notified police, who apprehended him at the casino bar.

The 52-year-old was taken into custody until he sobered up and then released. No charges have been filed.

The Los Angeles Times noted that Lopez is starring in an upcoming FX comedy called Saint George. In the show, set to premiere on March 6, Lopez plays a successful Mexican-American entrepreneur trying to deal with aging and dating after a divorce.

FX executives declined to comment. The actor, however, did release a statement to TMZ.

“Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor.”

Lopez is scheduled to perform at the casino again tonight and his arrest gave him some new material that might get some laughs.
