Comic books veteran Paul Levitz will join the board of the directors for Boom Studios.
Levitz, 57, has gained praise in the comic book industry. Levitz is a writer, editor, and publisher of comics. His Legion of the Superheroes and World’s Finest are critical and commercial successes. Levitz won the Dick Giordano Hero Initiative Humanitarian of the Year Award at the Harvey Awards, according to Comicbook.
Levitz is glad to be making the career move. He announced his plans at the ComicsPRO retailers’ membership meeting in Atlanta. He spoke about his industry with a spirit of hope.
Levitz told the Associated Press, "The comics medium has broken out of its boundaries in America. I've been involved with comics as a fan and a professional in so many different jobs for about 45 years now, almost. I don't think there's any period in comics that has been as creatively fertile as we are now."
With Boom Studios, Levitz gets the opportunity to work with a new publisher and utilize his great experience in the industry. Boom Studios is responsible for a number of titles including Fairy Quest and Suicide Risk.
