Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney and David Anders have signed on for the CW's pilot, iZombie.

Former Breakout Kings actor Goodwin has been cast to play the male lead in the drama, reports Deadline. He will play a police detective, Clive, who helps the as-yet-uncast female lead, Liv, as she investigates unsolved homicide cases.

Clive is a struggling and recently promoted homicide detective who badly needs to find a case to help his sagging career.

Krosney will play Liv's best friend and roommate Peyton, who is unable to understand her behavior and worries about their friendship.

Anders will play the antagonist Blaine, who is a smug rich kid who gets in over his head in selling drugs.

The project comes from Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas and producing partner Diane Ruggiero and is about a med student who becomes a zombie and finds a job in the coroner's office so she has access to brains.

After eating a brain she finds she gains the person's memories and decides to help find their killers.
