Here’s our daily wrap for Sunday Feb 23rd: ‘Tonight Show,’ Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, and Brett Gardner

Jimmy Fallon is breaking records as the new host of The Tonight Show and is making NBC some serious money. By moving the show to New York after four decades of it being in California, the show is now saving NBC more than $20 million a year. Bill de Blasio, who is the Mayor of New York, is thrilled to have the show in NYC. “Bringing ‘The Tonight Show’ back to our city means we’re bringing more than a hundred jobs to hard-working New Yorker, and giving travelers another great reason to visit,” said the Mayor.

Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz tour is constantly making headlines because you really never know what crazy thing Miley is going to do next. Last night, Katy Perry attended the show and the two singers shared a kiss! Other celebrities were also at the show, but a video of Miley and Katy Perry kissing has been getting all the talk. The two kissed during Miley’s performance of her hit single “Adore You.”

The New York Yankees outfielder, Brett Gardner, has signes a four-year contract worth $52 million with the team to begin after the 2014 season. This will keep Gardner, 30, with the team through the 2018 season. The talented player couldn’t be happier about the deal. “I don’t want to be anywhere else,” he said. “There’s no better place to play baseball than in New York.”
