Here’s our daily wrap for Monday February 3rd:

Actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman passed away Sunday due to an apparent drug overdose. Investigation into the cause of death is still ongoing but Hoffman was found with a needle still in his arm. Hoffman was 46-years-old and had previously spoken about his drug use back in 2006 for which he had gone to rehab for.

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday and the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks went head to head with the Seahawks dominating the game. The final score was 43-8 with Denver not even making the score board until third quarter. This is the first Super Bowl win for the team. Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith was named MVP.

Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday. The couple married in 2009 and announced they were expecting this past July. Kevin tweeted during his wife’s labor and has also said he “can’t wait for Daddy days.” The young child’s name is Alena Rose Jonas.
