Rapper DMX will get to beat up George Zimmerman after all. The celebrity boxing match between the rapper and the man acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin will happen. However, Zimmerman himself recently said that he wish he could have faced Kanye West.
Last week, Zimmerman agreed to do a Celebrity Boxing match set up by promoter Damon Feldman. The match would take place next month. Rapper The Game said first that he’d like to fight Zimmerman, but in a colorful interview with TMZ last week, DMX made his case.
“Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d**k out and piss on him ... right in his muthaf**kin’ face,” DMX said, adding that he’d break all the rules of boxing to beat Zimmerman up.
Now, TMZ is reporting that DMX will get to fight Zimmerman. Feldman told the site that 15,000 people applied, but DMX was his choice to face Zimmerman. The match will last only three rounds, but Feldman should probably get an ambulance ready.
While DMX will certainly keep the match interesting, Zimmerman told TMZ that he had hoped for a chance to fight West, since the Yeezus rapper has beaten “defenseless people” in the past. Promoters for the fight said that Zimmerman told them about his desire to fight West, but it is not to be.
The details for the fight will be announced next Wednesday during a press conference.
