Entertainment network, E!, has taken down a story that was referenced in Ellen Page's coming out speech. Page referenced an article that had been posted that described her as wearing sweat pants and looking "homeless and like a man."
The E! article referenced the clothes that Page was wearing as "street-sleeper" and "Salvation Army" clothing.
Following the speech going viral online, E! pulled the article down, Star Pulse reported.
Editor for the Huffington Post, Kia Makarechi realized that the story had been taken down following the speech and took a screenshot of the cached version. He posted the image on Twitter and also explained that when E! covered Page coming out that portion of the speech was not covered, The Hollywood Reporter added.
Makarechi shared the images with his Twitter following.
E Online took down the article Ellen Page mentioned in her speech. They also "wonder" if she's "actually homeless." pic.twitter.com/qe6VNh6SfA
