Team USA was sent home without a medal in hockey after being dominated by Finland on Saturday.

On the back of Teemu Selanne, Finland easily won 5-0 in the bronze medal game, reports CBS Sports. Selanne scored two points, his first opened the floodgates for the three other scores.

Finland wasn't able to score in the first period, during which both sides were about unable to gain any advantage over the other. After stopping a U.S. power play, the Finland team turned around and notched their first goal of the game. Jussi Jokien quickly followed up Selanne's opening score with a point of his own to give Finland a 2-0 lead.

The third period is when everything fell apart for the Americans. According to USA Today, Team USA's best weapon struggled as he missed two penalty shots.

Team USA struggled to score in their final two games, where they didn't make any, after starting off the Olympics by scoring 20 goals through four games. What also didn't help was that USA was beating itself with all its penalties and sloppy playing.
