Michelle Obama recently gave advice directed to Justin Bieber’s mother about the pop star’s latest headlining actions.

According to Politico, the first lady told Univision in an interview that if Bieber were her son, she would “pull him close” and try to figure him out through action.

“I would be very present in his life right now and I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what’s going on in his, to figure out who’s his life and who’s not,” she said.

Obama also added that the pop-star-gone-wild is “still a kid, he’s still growing up.”

Pattie Mallette, Justin Bieber’s real mom, stood up for her son. According to Hollywood Life, she said in regards to her son’s egging and drug issue, “If Justin’s struggling, don’t kick him while he’s down or condemn him – pray for him.”

Mallette, who had Justin at 17 and struggled with her own drug abuse said that she thinks “so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and get influenced somehow.”
