The production team of Lifetime’s Petals on the Wind has released the names of the actors playing main protagonists, Cathy and Christopher Dollanganger, and they’re familiar television faces.
Pretty Little Liars actor Wyatt Nash has been cast as Christopher Dollanganger in the highly anticipated sequel to Flowers in the Attic, according to E! News. Nash is known for playing Nigel, Cece’s co-conspirator earlier in season four on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. His other credits include roles on Mistresses, Hollywood Heights and 1600 Penn.
Rose McIver has been casted as Christopher’s lovely blonde sister, according to Television Blend. McIver’s recent credits include Tinker Belle in ABC’s Once Upon a Time and Vivian Scully in Showtime’s Master of Sex.
It’s not surprising the roles for Cathy and Christopher have been recast since the sequel is set 10 years after the original film. Despite the recasting, Ellen Burstyn will be reprising her role as religious grandmother Olivia Foxworth. Heather Graham and Dylan Bruce will also reprise their roles as Cathy and Christopher’s mother and stepfather.
Also joining the cast is Van Helsing’s Will Kemp as dancer Julian, Cathy’s abusive lover.
Filming begins on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Los Angeles.
