Seth Meyers announced on Monday that Portlandia and former Saturday Night Live actor Fred Armisen is teaming up with Meyers again and will lead the Late Night band.
According to Mediaite, the announcement was made through Meyers' Twitter, where he wrote "Here's the first photo of the new @LateNightSeth band!" The photo shows Meyers in the middle, with Armisen just right to the side of him.
The former Weekend Update anchor also tweeted that Armisen will work around his Portlandia shooting schedule and will "curate and lead the band."
The other members in the Late Night 8G Band are from a couple different bands, Girls Against Boys and Les Savy Fav.
The Associated Press reports that other members of the 8G Band include guitarist Seth Jabour, bassist Syd Butler, eyboardist Eli Janney and drummer Kimberly Thompson.
Meyers has already said his farewells on SNL, where he was the head writer, and will start on Feb. 24 with his new show Late Night with Seth Meyers.
