It was no laughing matter for comedian, George Lopez on Thursday night. Lopez was arrested for public intoxication at the Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casio.
Prior to his arrest, Lopez, 52, had performed his act at the hotel in Ontario, Canada. Security then notified the police after he was found passed out on the floor of the casino bar. Around 11:52 p.m. the Windsor Police received a man into their custody reported the New York Daily News. Lopez was dumped into a drunk tank to sober up according to TMZ.
Lopez was later released and no changes were filed against him. He is still scheduled to perform Friday night and the hotel and casino despite the incident.
Lopez is well known for his comedic talent previously producing and starring in the ABC sitcom, George Lopez from 2002 until 2007. He latest hosted his own late-night talk show called Lopez Tonight on TBS for two years until it was cancelled in 2011.
