Priscilla Presley is busy this year. She is chatting with reporters about a new exhibit in Graceland. The exhibit pays tribute to the 60 years since Presley cut his first record, “That’s All Right” in 1954.
The exhibit includes a telegram that Presley sent to his parents explaining that there is now money to pay the bills. Priscilla Presley, 68, told the Associated Press in an interview at Graceland on Friday, "It had to be on his mind for a long time to get up the nerve to go in that place and want to meet Sam Phillips to record a song for his mother. That's not something that he would have just thought about doing at the spur of the moment. I think it took him some courage to do that."
Priscilla Presley divorced Elvis Presley in 1973. Their mansion, Graceland, opened as a museum in 1982. The new exhibit details Presley’s career from the hit songs Heartbreak Hotel to Jailhouse Rock to Suspicious Minds. The exhibit features jumpsuits worn on tour by Presley and an organ played in his home.
In addition to showing off the new exhibit, Priscilla Presley recently seen at Lisa Marie Presley’s birthday party, according to Just Jared.
