Actor Hank Azaria, best known for being the voice of various characters on the Simpsons, will join the second season of Showtime's Ray Donovan in a recurring role.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Azaria will be playing a character named James Cochran, who is the head of the L.A. division of the FBI. Joining Azaria is Sherilyn Fenn, who will play his wife. The guest spot on Ray Donovan marks a return to Showtime for Azaria, who previously starred in the comedy Huff which ran for two seasons. Azaria's other TV credits include NBC's short-lived remake of Free Agents and five episodes of Friends as Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) love interest David.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Azaria's character will become a problem for Liev Schreiber's character of Ray. On Ray Donovan, Schreiber plays Ray, Los Angeles' best professional fixer, who is called upon to deal with the rich and famous, and make their complicated problems go away. Production of season 2 is currently filming in Los Angeles and is set to premiere in the summer.
