The conditions in Sochi, Russia have shocked many journalists there to cover the Olympic Games and on Tuesday they started documenting and tweeting about their accommodations or lack thereof.

MSN has reported that some athletes have also expressed disappointment with their bare-bones Olympic lodgings.

The Business Insider has reported that the hotel nightmares include stray dogs in the rooms, no working elevators, no shower curtains and one hotel that told its guests not to wash their faces with water because it contains something dangerous.

Other journalists tweeted that their hotels did not even have water.

But the Tweet out of the host country that got the biggest reaction was from Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo! Sports. He tweeted a photo of a sign in his bathroom that told guest not to flush their toilet paper down the toilet.

Since conditions similar to these are common in some parts of the world, the journalist and athletes have been called spoiled and divas by a few, but Sochi has had plenty of time to at least do maintenance and clear the stray dogs out of the rooms.
