After being fired by the Cleveland Browns after one season as their head coach, Rob Chudzinski found a new position with the Colts. He will serve as their special assistant to Chuck Pagano, the Colts' head coach.
According to NBC Sports, Chudzinski and Pagano have previously worked together. They both worked on University of Miami's coaching staff for six seasons. They also worked together with the Browns in 2004.
After switching back and forth between the Browns and San Diego Chargers from 2005-2010, Chudzinski was hired as the Carolina Panthers' offensive coordinator in 2011.
He helped Panthers quarterback Cam Newton become the first rookie to throw for 4,000 yards, according to ESPN.
The Panthers also set team records for yards (6,237) and first downs (345) under Chudzinski's offensive tutelage in the 2011 season.
After being hired as the Browns' head coach in 2013, the team went 4-12 and fired him in December.
Chudzinski will look to prove the Browns wrong as he reunites with running back Trent Richardson, who was traded from Cleveland to Indianapolis in the beginning of the 2013 season.
