Last year, J.K. Rowling was revealed as the author of Cuckoo’s Calling, published under her newly discovered pen name, Robert Gailbraith. Rowling intends to keep the name for her upcoming crime fiction novel, The Silkworm.
Introduced in Cuckoo, her new crime novel will revolve around private investigator Cormoran Strike, as he searches for answers involving the death of a novelist, according to Time
Recently before the novelists death, he wrote a manuscript that scoffs at numerous public figures who all become murder suspects.
The crime novel is estimated to be released on June 19 and she is said to make a public appearance to endorse her novel on June 18, according to The Guardian
Twitter revealed the secretive information about J.K. Rowling’s other identity last year. She sued the blabbers and won a lump sum of money which she then donated to a charity.
She’s never explained why she continues to write under a different pen name but she continues to see success. The famed Harry Potter novelist published her first adult novel under her own name, called The Casual Victory in 2012.
