South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is expected to be a top-five pick in the upcoming NFL draft. Some even expect him to be taken first overall by the Houston Texans. Clowney has even bigger plans in mind though.
Sporting News reports that Clowney wants to "just be the best, one of the best of all time."
Clowney believes that he can still run between 4.4 and 4.5 in his 40-yard dash, and he is looking to silence critics that believe his work ethic isn't good enough for the pros. These critics include South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, who called Clowney's work ethic "ok." Clowney disagreed with his former coach's assessment though.
Clowney said that he probably would have gone pro after his sophomore rule if he was eligible, but the rules state that a player must be three years out of high school, according to Sports Illustrated.
Clowney also argued that the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl because "defense wins championships."
