Jane Krakowski, who played Liz Lemon’s best friend Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock, could be returning to television. She has been cast in a Fox pilot called Dead Boss.

The project is based on a U.K. series and finds Krakowski as Helen Stephens, an overachieving businesswoman who is convicted of killing her boss (hence the title). According to Entertainment Weekly, the logline says that she’s actually innocent and is hopeful that everything turns out good for her. Unfortunately, the only person in the outside world who can help her is a crazy sister.

TheWrap notes that Dead Boss will be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Kapital Entertainment. Patricia Breen wrote the pilot and will executive produce with Aaron Kaplan, Sharon Horgan and Holly Walsh.

Krakowski earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Ally McBeal back in 1999 and earned four Emmy nods for 30 Rock. She played the self-obsessed actress Jenna on the Tina Fey-created series. She was most recently seen in a guest spot on ABC’s Modern Family.
