John Legend is speaking out about his wife, Chrissy Teigen, landing the cover of Sports Illustrated alongside models Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal.
The Love in the Future singer said his wife was so happy about finding out she got the cover that she “cried like a baby.”
During his appearance on Good Morning America on Friday, Legend, 35, said his model wife only found out about the honor on Thursday.
"It was a surprise because you never really know who's going to be on the cover,” he said. “She's been in the issue for several years now and every year it's been someone else. And then this year, it was her."
Teigen, herself, who is very outspoken on social media, took to Twitter to talk about how excited she is to land the cover with the other women. She wrote, “Never, ever, ever have felt this kind of pure joy.”

She also joked with her Twitter followers, “In bed watching the top 10 worst housewives dinners, just in case you think I might have changed on you now.”
The 9-time Grammy winner and his model wife tied the knot in September in a grandiose ceremony in Italy.
