Juan Pablo Galavis will not be cast as a contestant for the season 18 of Dancing with the Stars.
According to E! News, the former soccer player was rumored to be a part of the cast, as many former Bachelor and Bachelorette stars, like Sean Lowe and Melissa Rycroft, have gone on the show. Despite ABC not commenting on the subject, inside sources have confirmed Juan Pablo will not be asked to be one of the contestants.
“He’s just too risky,” once source said. “There’s too much negativity at this point.”
The source is referring to Juan Pablo’s lack of filtering in the media and his wishy-washy behavior with whom he chose to kiss during the majority of The Bachelor’s 18th season.
According to Wetpaint, Juan Pablo’s comments on a gay bachelor were enough to have the network ask the 32-year-old not to attend Sean and Catherine’s wedding last month.
Despite Juan Pablo Galavis not making the cut to be on the popular ABC show, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes and Full House’s Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner, will be a part of the new season of Dancing With the Stars.
ABC will announce the full cast on Good Morning America on March 4.
