Judd Apatow who is known for his direction and producing skills will be honored with media institution Paley Center for Media's second-annual Paleyfest icon award.

Paley Center for Media president and CEO Pat Mitchell spoke about why Apatow was chosen for this honor. "The Paley Center has enjoyed a long and fantastic history with Judd Apatow, who currently reigns as one of the most sought-after innovators in all media," said Mitchell.

Apatow is known for his work on Freaks and Geeks and HBO's Girls, Variety reported.

The honor will be given to Apatow on March 10th at the Center’s Beverly Hills location.

The director is currently working on the upcoming Trainwreck, which is set to come out in 2015. Brie Larson recently joined the cast of Trainwreck, Indie Wire added.

Amy Schumer and Bill Hader will also be staring in Trainwreck.

This film is set to be released on July 24, 2015.
