Kanye West is no stranger to making headlines and making businesses discussion that seem unlikely. West's latest discussion is to work with American Psycho author, for an upcoming untitled movie project.

When West first asked Bret Ellis to work on the project he turned it down. "You know what, I can’t. It’s in Kanye Land, and that’s subject to a whole other time frame. He came and asked me to write the film. I didn’t want to at first. Then I listened to Yeezus. It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car. He’d given me an advance copy, and I thought, regardless of whether I’m right for this project, I want to work with whoever made this," said Ellis in a recent interview with Vice.com.

MTV added that Ellis and West have not gone into detail about the upcoming project and that is has been surrounded in mystery.

No other details surrounding the film have been released from Ellis or West.

Last year, the two worked on a viral "Psycho"-themed video, that spoofed the novel and film.
