Kate Middleton has taken Prince George on his first vacation to the island of Mustique in the Caribbean.
Prince William has stayed behind to keep studying for the 10-week course in agricultural management at Cambridge University.
Middleton’s mom and dad, Carole and Michael, sister and brother, Pippa and James, and her boyfriend, Nico Jackson have joined the Duchess of Cambridge.
A source told Us Magazine that the mother and son are due back late next week in time for the National Portrait Gallery gala, which is Middleton’s first royal engagement.
The Duke and Duchess have tried to get away on other private vacations, but to no avail have caused controversy. In 2012, the couple vacationed in the south of France at a chateau owned by Viscount Linley, according to the Mirror. This vacation ended badly when pictures of Middleton basking in the sun topless where taken, and then published.
The gala will be held on February 11 in London, and it is also where her portrait is hangs.
