Kendall Jenner has always been into modeling and is finally proving that she has what it takes to be a true runway model. During the Feb. 13 Marc Jacobs show of New York Fashion Week, Kendall rocked the runway in a sweater with her nipples showing. All power to her!
At just 18-years-old, this young star is showing us all at a very young age that she can really strut her stuff. Kendall wore a see-through shirt with no bra tucked into riding pants and ankle boots. Her hair was style in a very dark brown, straight cut bob and her eyebrows were bleached Miley Cyrus style.
“I just recently turned 18, so this [Marc Jacobs show] is my big kick-off to start and grow my career. The New York fashion scene is crazy, madness, but I love the energy,” the upcoming model told Into The Gloss. “I love everything about it-like the hair and makeup today, it’s incredible. I’ve never had my eyebrows bleached; I don’t even look like myself!” Kendall was a little nervous before the show, but she was excited. She’d been practicing, and it seems her practice paid off.
Kendall then went on to explain how she barely ever wears make up, always washes her face and uses eye cream every day because older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, told her it’s the only way to prevent things. Kendall also admitted to not being as into her nails as younger sister, Kylie, is. Kylie seems to go crazy when it comes to the shapes and colors of her nails, but Kendall isn’t a fan of doing this to her own nails. “It’s nuts, but she loves it, so more power to her,” she said.
Us Weekly reports that Kendall made her runway debut at 15 for the Sherri Hill’s Spring 2012 Fashion Week presentation, and has come a long way since then. This particular Marc Jacobs look is very different than what she was wearing in her younger modeling days, but this is not the first time Kendall has decided to bare all. Back in November, she Instagramed a photo of herself in a sexy see-through black sweater, because that’s what fashion is all about.
Her older sister, Khloe Kardashian, defended her after so many people left mean and criticizing comments. Khloe tweeted, “I love seeing all of these haters’ comments. Naomi [Campbell], Kate [Moss], Cindy [Crawford]…All fabulous models…Models and photographers take beautiful artistic images. And I don’t hear you birds chirp then. Sit down and enjoy the view. #SorryNotSorry.”
Khloe was also the one to Instagram the first picture of Jenner’s look at this show today, fully supporting her sister. The caption read, “My baby sister killed it today walking in the Marc Jacobs fashion show!!! Kenny you are so dope to me!!! Congrats to my baby!!! #NYFW #MarcJacobs #ProudSis.”
Kendall’s other older sister, Kim Kardashian, has also showed her respect for her little sister’s modeling career by sharing a picture of this look as well. Kim wrote, “Proudest sister ever!!! @KendallJenner I love watching you live your dream!”
People will say what they want about the young model, but some people don’t realize that this is fashion and sometimes these are the drastic measures models take to look good in what they’re representing. Some major brands even tweeted supporting what she wore tonight. It seems Kendall doesn’t have much to worry about because she’ll always have the support of her family, which is really all that matters in the end, so keep doing what you’re doing, Kendall!
