The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the New York Knicks 112-100 on Sunday to bounce back from Friday's buzzer beating loss to the Orlando Magic, led by their star player Kevin Durant. Durant scored 41 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists, putting him an assist away from a triple-double.
According to ESPN, small forward Carmelo Anthony was held to 15 points and shot 5-for-19 despite being the second-leading scorer in the NBA. The Knicks lost their fourth game out of their last five.
Power forward Amar'e Stoudemire and point guard Raymond Felton each led the Knicks in scoring with 16 points.
According to Bleacher Report, Durant shot 12-for-22 from the floor and 13-for-18 from the free throw line.
Point guard Reggie Jackson and power forward Serge Ibaka also had solid games for the Thunder. Jackson scored 19 points and had six assists while Ibaka had 16 points and nine rebounds. The Thunder collectively shot 55 percent from the floor.
The Thunder moved to 41-12 in their victory over the Knicks and have won 13 of their last 15 games. They will travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers on Tuesday as they look to preserve their No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
