With the trade deadline quickly approaching, the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors struck a deal with each other.
Point guard Steve Blake was traded from the Lakers for two guards, according to The Associated Press.
The two players who are heading to the Lakers are MarShon Brooks and Kent Bazemore. The Warriors were looking for a point guard to back up All-Star Stephen Curry. Blake is expected to provide depth for the position and for the Warriors' bench.
Blake is expected to make $4 million in the final year of the four-year contract he signed with the Lakers, and he will become a free agent in July. Although he has been traded, he will not rule out a return to the Lakers, according to LA Times.
So far Blake has averaged 9.5 points and 7.6 assists this season. Bazemore has averaged 2.3 points in 44 games for the Warriors while Brooks has averaged 2.6 points in 17 games.
The NBA trade deadline comes Thursday at 12 p.m. Pacific time.
