Simon Cowell’s girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, is in labor. The X Factor creator had to rush to New York from London, where he’s filming one of his shows.
Silverman checked into Manhattan’s Lenox Hill hospital while Cowell hopped on a flight to the U.S.
According to TMZ, sources say Silverman’s doctors will delay the process so that Cowell can be there to see his first child being born. She’s reportedly in early enough stages of labor that they can delay it for him.
Silverman went into labor over a week early, but doctors are not concerned about the baby’s wellbeing.
Sources told E! Online of the birth, "Everyone's so excited he'll be a Valentine's baby.”
This marks the first child for Cowell, 54, and the second for Silverman. She has a son, 8, with her ex-husband Andrew Silverman.
In November, Cowell confirmed they have picked out a name for their baby boy. We will just have to wait and see what it is.
