Athlete Lindsey Vonn was seen at Fashion Week on crutches. The skier spoke on behalf the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.

Lindsey Vonn told E!, "After making the decision not to compete in Sochi, I have actually committed myself to racing through to the next Olympics [the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea). I'm very motivated. I have a lot that I want to accomplish still. I'm going to take my time. I felt a little bit rushed last time, trying to be back and ready for Sochi. I'm not going to probably ski until October."

According to Reuters, Vonn had an injury and had to pull out of the Olympics in Sochi. Vonn is an American World Cup alpine ski racer who has won four overall World Cup championships. She is one of six women to have won World Cup races in all five disciplines of alpine skiing – downhill, super G, giant slalom, slalom, and super combined.

The skier said she’s still dedicated to the slopes. Despite her knee injury, she told supporters she is planning to put her skis on again.

Events at Fashion Week in New York City are scheduled until Feb. 13.
