Actor Richard Bull, who was on the classic show Little House on the Prairie, passed away on Monday at the age of 89.

Bull's passing was confirmed in a tweet from Melissa George, who played Laura Ingalls Wilder on the show, reports TheWrap. "Goodbye Richard working with you was such a joy," George wrote. The cause of death has not been reported.

On the long-running Little House show, Bull played Nels Oleson who was the shopkeeper. The show ran from 1974 to 1983 and after, Bull also appeared in the show's specials.

According to People, Bull continued with many roles after Little House, including Highway to Heaven, which reunited the actor with Little House star Michael Landon. Before Little House, the 89-year-old also was in the ABC show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea for four years as Doc.

TheWrap notes that he was still active and recently appeared in the cancelled Starz and Kelsey Grammer drama Boss.
