Fashion week has crossed over the big pond. Starting Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, London’s Fashion Week began exhibiting a number of designer’s clothing lines for Fall 2014.

Prior to reaching London, New York held its biannual fashion week, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week beginning Feb. 6 and running through Feb. 13 as previously reported.

London began its second day of fashion as host to numerous celebrities. Singer Jessie J, Anna Wintour, and Stella McCartney all sat in the front row for the Hunter Fashion Show. Hunter design’s fashionable rubber rain boots. Julien MacDonald’s showcased her fall fashions in front of Samantha Barks of “Les Miserables” and singer, Eliza Doolittle according to the Associated Press.

Hunter featured many colorful boots in a range of styles even offering a heeled ankle-length pair. Julien MacDonald’s line on the other hand featured numerous amounts of sequins and feathers in the form of cocktail dresses and floor-length fishtail gowns. Orla Kiely used London’s usual drab weather for inspiration with her show based on “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.” Models tore printed dresses and tunics and preppy trouser suits. John Rocha showcased ruffles and layers of tulle and chiffon typical of his line.

London Fashion week will continue through Feb. 18 and will be followed by shows in Paris and Milan.
