Mayor de Blasio of New York City is switching his sights from politics to acting.
The new mayor of New York is slated to appear on an episode of CBS’ The Good Wife next month where he will make a guest appearance as himself.
The Good Wife displays the life of Alicia Florrick, played by Julianna Margulies. Florrick is a wife and mother who returns to work as an attorney following the resignation of her husband as the state attorney. When he lands in prison following a public scandal, Florrick is left as the head of the household.
According to CBS, de Blasio’s special episode will premiere March 16 and is called, “A Few Words”.
This is not the first time a mayor of New York has been on the popular drama, however. Just last year former Mayor Bloomberg was on the show, according to Politico.
It was only a matter of time before Mayor de Blasio made his acting debut. Mayors of New York have given their time and appearance to various television shows over the years.
