Point guard Russell Westbrook made his return to the Oklahoma City Thunder after sitting out for 27 games because of surgery on a swelling in his right knee.
His night was spoiled though when the Thunder were handily defeated by the Miami Heat, led by their Big Three. The Heat won the game 103-81. The Thunder had gone 20-7 in Westbrook's absence.
According to ESPN, Westbrook scored 16 points on 4-for-12 shooting.
Small forward LeBron James led the Heat with 33 points on 15-for-22 shooting to go with seven rebounds and three assists. He left in the fourth quarter with a bloody nose.
According to Bleacher Report, shooting guard Dwyane Wade and center Chris Bosh added 24 points apiece. Wade also had 10 assists and seven rebounds. Bosh added eight rebounds and three assists to his night.
Small forward Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 28 points, along with eight rebounds and three assists. He was neutralized in the first half by the Heat defense, shooting for 4-for-11. He shook it off in the second half though, shooting 6-for-11.
The Thunder will look to put this loss behind them on Sunday when they face the Los Angeles Clippers at home.
