Michael Jordan and wife, Yvette, welcomed identical twin girls to the world on Tuesday. Yvette, 35, gave birth to Victoria and Ysabel on Sunday in West Palm Beach, Florida.

According to AssociatedPress Yvette and the babies are doing great, and the family is extremely excited about the new members.

The couple met eight years ago and wed in Palm Beach in April 2013. According to yahoosports the 2,000-guest wedding reception took place at the Bear's Club, an exclusive golf course community designed by Jack Nicklaus in Jupiter, Fla., where Jordan built a $12.4 million, 38,000-square-foot home.

These are the first children for Yvette; Jordan has three other children from his previous marriage to ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy. Jordan’s sons Jeffrey, 25, and Marcus, 23, both played college basketball, and daughter Jasmine, 21, is currently enrolled at Syracuse University.

Jordan, who will turn 51 next Monday, won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, and is the current owner of the Charlotte Bobcats.
