Miranda Kerr has been put in a difficult spot. On one hand, the Australian supermodel’s career has never been better, especially after moving to H&M. But her parents back home said that they haven’t heard from her in months and they want to see her and three-year-old Flynn.
Kerr, who split from Victoria’s Secret last year, has moved over to H&M. The band announced on Facebook Tuesday that she will be a model for their spring collection. According to Business Insider, Kerr also still has a contract with Australia’s Qantas Airlines and Swarovski jewelry. Forbes has also called her the second-highest paid model in the world, making $7.2 million in 2013.
Meanwhile, her family recently appeared on Family Confidential in Australia, talking about their relationship with Kerr, reports News.com.au.
“Miranda's life is so different now (and) she's surrounded by yes people all the time,” her mother, Therese, said. “It's so important for me to be real, to be true, to be who she needs me to be.” Therese was fired from Kerr’s Kora skincare company in 2013.
The family said that they haven’t seen her or her son with ex-husband Orlando Bloom in “over a year.”
“What I'd really like to do as a grandad now is teach Flynn how to milk a cow, how to ride a horse, teach him all them country things,” her father, John, said.
Aceshowbiz reports that Kerr’s brother, said he’d really just like to see her more. “I'd like to spend more one-on-one time instead of with an entourage of people who we don't really know,” he said.
Kerr’s rep did issue a statement, saying that her international commitments kept her from doing the Family Confidential show. The rep added that Kerr “... is grateful to her parents, brother and extended family in Australia for their ongoing support and love. The Kerr family have a special and unique bond and I'm sure this intimate insight will be viewed fondly by all.”
Kerr is currently dating billionaire James Packer.
