Nancy Motes’s death is looking like suicide after a paramedic found a suicide note detailing her broken relationship with her half-sister, Julia Roberts, and how it lead to her demise.
In the note, Motes tells her mother that she loves her, and how sorry she is to her fiancé, John Dilbeck, who found her body.
Motes “was found in a bathtub that contained water. There were prescription and nonprescription drugs found at the scene. The role the drugs may or may not have played is not yet known,” Craig Harvey, chief of coroner investigations for Los Angeles County, told The NY Daily News. A toxicology report was also being put together, but will take a few weeks.
Motes was also very unstable in the time leading up to her death, posing tweets about her sister, and one time saying, "So my 'sister' said that with all her friends & fans she doesn’t need any more love. Just so you all know 'America’s Sweetheart” is a B***H,” according to Radar Online. She also posted a tweet saying that her family had abandoned her.
The two sisters have the same mother, Betty Lou, and have two other siblings, Eric and Lisa, who are also into acting. Motes was 13 when her sister’s career took off in Pretty Woman.
