NBC has introduced a number of new ways to enjoy the Games in Sochi this year. Fans of the Olympics can watch the sporting competitions on television or online.

According to the Associated Press, every sport is available live at NBCOlympics.com. NBC will also expand the viewing options with an online channel called "Gold Zone." “Gold Zone" will begin on Saturday. Mobile applications might also be popular this year as NBC Sports Live Extra is now an option for Apple, Android and Windows.

It’s not known how these new viewing options will impact ratings. Rick Cordella, senior vp and GM, digital media, at NBC Sports Group, told The Hollywood Reporter, "With sports, especially the Olympics, viewers want to watch it twice. They stream to see it live but then also want to see it in that movie-production environment that is repackaged for primetime."

Subscribers of pay TV services can catch the Olympics on television with Comcast, Verizon and DirecTV.

The Olympics are taking place in Sochi, Russia. The opening ceremonies tomorrow will not be broadcast live on television.
