Netflix and Comcast released a joint statement on Sunday saying that the companies have come together on a multiyear deal that will improve the service's streaming for broadband users.

The terms that had been written in the agreement were not made public.

Netflix, the company known for original programing such as House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, along with their successful instant streaming service haven't taken a stance on the deal.

Only ten days ago did Comcast announced that they had completed a $45 billion deal to acquire Time Warner Cable, The Hollywood Reporter added.

The deal was referred to as a "interconnection agreement," The New York Times reported.

This most recent deal that Comcast has made might lead to extending the same terms to Time Warner Cable users if the company acquisition is approved.

Comcast did make a point to say that Netflix would not be getting an preferential treatment from their recent deal.
