The Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings have agreed on a trade Wednesday, the day before the NBA trade deadline.

The trade sends Marcus Thornton to the Brooklyn Nets for Jason Terry and Reggie Evans, according to ESPN.

Both Terry and Evans have not been as effective for the Nets as they had hoped they would have been this season. Terry has appeared in only 36 games this season averaging only 4.5 points per game while shooting 36 percent and Evans was only used in 30 of the Nets' 51 games this season, according to The Associated Press.

Thornton has not been as effective for the Kings this season as he has been in previous years, but he will bring youth to a Nets roster full of older veterans. He has been on a downfall so far this season averaging just 8.3 points per game and shooting 38.1 percent, while in the 2011-12 season he led the Kings scoring 18.7 points per game, the AP reports.

This is the first of the many trades that may take place before the NBA trade deadline goes into effect Thursday afternoon.
