In the current issue of Bleu Magazine, Nick Cannon, posed for a variety of shots as well as opened up about his Lupus condition.
In 2012, Cannon was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Lupus. It’s a condition in which the body’s immune system is attacked.
Cannon has now revealed a little more to Bleu Magazine about the condition and how it has affected his life.
“The condition has made me better,” Cannon revealed to Bleu Magazine. “I have doctor’s orders to get a certain amount of sleep. I used to go a week or two without sleep, only taking naps.”
Perhaps that’s due to all of the projects that Cannon has taken on, including his sequel to Drumline and the children’s book he has coming out with his wife, Mariah Carey.
The condition has also affected other aspects of his life such as his workouts. Previously, Cannon’s workout would include a lot of weight lifting, now it’s shifted a little.
“It is a lot of stretching and meditating, before I would lift weights,” he explained. “Now it is a total body workout. It is a blood condition and you have to make sure your blood is flowing properly.”
