The Los Angeles Lakers' injury bug continued to get worse when they lost shooting guard Nick Young to a knee injury on Wednesday night as they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-108.

Young, who is the Lakers' second leading scorer with 16.9 points, was diagnosed with a patella fracture and a bone bruise in his MRI exam. Young is expected to sit out a minimum of two weeks, according to USAToday. Young has started nine games for the Lakers out of the 48 games he has played.

Young was taken out of the game with 2:16 remaining in the second quarter, according to ESPN. He was fouled by Cavaliers small forward C.J. Miles as he drove for a layup.

Young joins important Lakers such as shooting guard Kobe Bryant and power forward Pau Gasol on the injury list, adding to the team's inability to catch a break this season.

The Lakers are expected to call up forward Shawne Williams from the D-League and sign him to a 10-day contract.
